I ask my clients his question quite often. Usually, they do not know.
Value is not the amount you get paid. It is the sum of other things as well. Value has to cover the costs of having you as an employee, and you must be worth even more than this, otherwise, why would they hire you?
Would you like to get the formula on how to calculate the value of your 1 hr?
Annual salary x 4 = Value /amount days you work per year/8 hrs (amount of hrs you work daily)
For example, your annual salary is $40.000
$40.000 x 4 = $160.000 Value of your time for your employer
$160.000/ 261 (261is amount of days we work per year) = $613 -the value of your 1-day work for the employer
$613/ 8hrs = $77 - the value of your 1 hr
When is it useful to apply this formula?
1. Are you working long hrs? You can check how much it is worth.
2. Are you spending too much time on social media? You can check how much this time costs you.
3. Are you spending time on tasks that can be automated? You can analyze it financially and find the most cost-effective solution.
4. You can use it to renegotiate your remuneration package.
All my clients said to me that knowing it, helps them to feel confident, had a positive impact on their time management, effectiveness, and as a result, they have more money!
